For that second example, changing the suits does not change the equality of the ranks. Identify the two ranks first, then use the selected table’s tie rule to interpret the result.
Wait for both cards before describing the comparison
When following the standard Dragon vs Tiger comparison, mark an observation as incomplete until you can read both sides’ ranks. A visible Dragon 7 with Tiger still unreadable does not provide a complete rank comparison. Record ‘Dragon 7; Tiger not yet readable’ rather than writing an assumed result.
Once both cards are visible, record the two ranks together and then read the round’s result. If an image or recording stops before the second card appears, retain that limitation in your note. This checks whether you have the information needed to describe a completed round; it does not predict the next card or advise a play.
Compare the category before the highest card
For an ordinary three-card Teen Patti paper exercise, compare 4♣–4♦–4♥ with A♣–9♦–6♥. The fours form a Trail, while the mixed, unpaired, nonconsecutive ace hand is High Card. The Trail ranks above High Card even though the other hand contains an ace.
Name each category first, then apply the ranking order used by the selected entry. Comparing only the single highest card skips the combination that defines the hand. This gives you a concrete category check when moving from Dragon vs Tiger’s two individual ranks to Teen Patti’s three-card combinations.
